Hey you! Yes you!
Youth Fusion is looking for interns to join us for 3-6 months! This is an opportunity to join a dynamic team of youths from all over the world to work together towards nuclear disarmament. It is a chance to learn, develop your skills, broaden your network, and have a lot of fun while doing so. (Read this article to see the team and their thoughts on our 1 year anniversary! 😉)
Who are we & What do we Do?
Youth Fusion is a world-wide networking platform for young individuals and organizations in the field of nuclear disarmament, risk-reduction and non-proliferation. We focus on youth action and intergenerational dialogue, building on the links between disarmament, peace, climate action, sustainable development and building back better from the pandemic. Our goals are clear: to inform, educate, connect and engage our fellow students, activists and enthusiasts. Through these activities, and as part of Abolition 2000 Network, we are contributing to the total abolition of nuclear weapons.

Who are we Looking for?
We are looking for a committed, well organized, passionate about nuclear disarmament youth who is keen to join our team and contribute to our work. We are looking for people with a background in communications, social media management and/or a background in international relations/political science/security, project management related competencies, event management skills (in person, online), and someone who is eager to learn, and can work in a team as well as independently.
Our work mainly focuses on maintaining our website, making nuclear disarmament related content such as podcasts, articles and social media material, distributing our newsletter, advocacy, partnerships on various projects, webinars and events/conference, keeping up with internal communications with the team, having our own side projects if the interest is there, liaising with inspiring experts in the field, and being a part of the development of Youth Fusion! Speaking multiple languages is also a huge plus!
We do not need someone to tick all these boxes or be an expert on nuclear disarmament issues, this internship is intended to help you learn and grow with us! So even if you don’t know much about the issue, the rest of the team will be there to support you 😀 We are all in this together!Â
Good to note: expected availability is 5 hours across a bi-weekly basis.
Compensation
Unfortunately funding is not possible for this internship at this stage.
Application Deadline
None, we are accepting applications on a rolling basis.
Internship periods usually align with the start of the year, the summer and the fall. You will hear from us if you are successful, unfortunately we cannot follow up with unsuccessful applicants. Please bear in mind that it might take several weeks before we get back to successful applicants.
Location
Remote with the possibility of travel (eg. conferences).
