The first day of the NPT Rev Con that Vanda and Michaela attended was during the second week on the 8th of August, 2022.
Youth Fusion was announced as Winner of the Prestigious Voices Gorbachev/Shultz Legacy Youth Award.
This workshop has the aim of educating and working with youths to harness and build on their journalism skills, namely within the nuclear disarmament field. Dr. Becky Alexis Martin, a highly knowledgeable and experienced scientific communicator and educator, will run the workshop.
In the summer of 2022, the fifth edition of the annual OSCE-UNODA Scholarship for Peace and Security took place. This year, three members of the Youth Fusion team were selected to participate in this prestigious program.

Following the success of last year’s initiative, #Youth4Disarmament, Youth Fusion and the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the UN are calling on young people to #StepUp4Disarmament by either completing a distance of 8.29 kilometres or tracking 10.9k steps, an approximate equivalent, to raise awareness of the International Day against Nuclear Tests, on 29 August 2022, and its cause to ban nuclear tests.
Michaela Sørenen had the honour of interviewing Dr. Becky Alexis-Martin, who has been involved with nuclear related issues for many years and has an impressive plethora of work on some pretty niche topics.
